The test suite usually fails on Linux systems if the user selects [1] (for indexing /usr/src) --- there's no /usr/src on such systems (in contrast, it may pass on FreeBSD systems).

Probably it would be better to skip the test in such a situation, or even better, to use a small test dataset included in the distribution.
