Subject: cannot generate makefile
DateTime-0.29 perl5 (revision 5.0 version 8 subversion 0) osname=linux, osvers=2.4.21-23.elsmp, archname=i386-linux-thread-multi Testing if you have a C compiler sh: -c: line 2: unexpected EOF while looking for matching `'' sh: -c: line 4: syntax error: unexpected end of file I cannot determine if you have a C compiler so I will install a perl-only implementation You can force installation of the XS version with perl Makefile.PL --xs Checking if your kit is complete... Looks good Writing Makefile for DateTime Makefile:58: *** missing separator. Stop. /usr/bin/make -j3 -- NOT OK Running make test Can't test without successful make Running make install make had returned bad status, install seems impossible
