Thanks... It does not seem to be a problem on all sun machines (see e.g. http://nntp.x.perl.org/group/perl.cpan.testers/214211 ) I will need a litle more information to troubleshoot this. Could you download the distribution, run "perl Makefile.PL", run "make" and "make test TEST_VERBOSE=y" and mail me the output of those commands? Thanks. --Olaf

The escaped characters test failed on some system because the the systems dn_expand instead of the supplied dn_expand was used after the makemaker magic linked DNS.xs. This was fixed by renaming the dn_expand that comes with the library to netdns_dn_expand. Fix now lives on the trunk --Olaf
