Subject: failed t test 450_service in Windows
I'm getting (Windows 10, Strawberry Perl 5.26.1) the same Windows test failure as reported by a tester for 5.28.2 for the 2.73 upgrade via CPAN. t/450_service.t ........ 9/26 # Failed test 'second port is reachable' # at t/450_service.t line 82. # got: '0' # expected: '1' t/450_service.t ........ 26/26 # Looks like you failed 1 test of 26. t/450_service.t ........ Dubious, test returned 1 (wstat 256, 0x100) Failed 1/26 subtests Note that the official tester for 5.26.1 passed all tests. If you want to send me a test package with diagnostics and/or a possible fix, feel free to ask.

Well, this is strange. I tried an upgrade again (2.72 to 2.73, Windows 10, Strawberry Perl 5.26.1) and this time it worked! I'm guessing that something was upgraded in cpan or Windows or a prereq, and now it's OK. I'll leave this open for a week or so if you want to ask any questions. You can close it, or I'll try to remember to close it April 11 or later.

Such errors typically have nothing to do with your perl setup, only with your OS system firewall settings. So I would not worry. -- Reini Urban
