I recently upgraded my Windows 7 system to Windows 10.
I had Strawberry Perl v5.26.1 installed at the time and it seems to work
fine after the upgrade.
However, I wanted to upgrade to v5.30 and found that I needed to
uninstall first.
However, Windows 10's "Apps & Features" won't let me uninstall. It says
"Windows cannot access the specified device, path, or file."
It appears to be trying to launch C:\WINDOWS\system32\msiexec.exe, but
that program no longer exists in Windows 10.
I tried running the uninstall command (found in the registry) by
invoking the msiexec.exe located in C:\Windows.old\windows\system32, but
that reported that "The Windows Installer Service could not be accessed."
Any thoughts on how I can uninstall the old version or upgrade the new?
Thanks.
