It would be very helpful if there was a setting for Mail::DKIM to enable it
to deal with more liberal line terminations in the email to process and
automatically convert them to the CR/LF it expects.
I process incoming emails from users through a custom list server (I do not
control the incoming emails), and the incoming emails are not always that
consistent with line terminations. In some cases, I have even seen a mix
of line terminations in the same email.
I have code I created in place to do the conversion needed to make the
emails work for Mail::DKIM, but I think it would be a reasonable
improvement to add a option setting to the module for more liberal line
terminations.
Just for your awareness, this is not just me that has gotten tripped up on
this in the past. The Mail::DKIM line termination consideration has even
been mentioned on Stack Overflow:
