In PageCache.pm, it'd be good to import only needed the parts of the POSIX module. Its default is to give all of its many functions, which bloats the importer's symbol table. For me, use POSIX 'ceil'; saves about 120 kb (recent Debian i386 5.28.1). Not huge, but it adds up if many modules do it. Is ceil() the only use, or did I miss more?
