Hi,
In attempting to package UUID, it took me a long time to discover that
CentOS7 ships a package called uuid-devel (which DOES NOT work), and a
package called libuuid-devel (which DOES work).
uuid-devel is mentioned by name in Makefile.PL, and fails with things like:
assertlibVxmaV_PQ.c:13:13: error: too few arguments to function
‘uuid_compare’
... which is "something's wrong but I'm not sure what" to non-dev me.
Basically, it'd be cool if you had a little more of a nudge in the
direction of the right package to install, since there's naming-overload
going on. If you could detect it, that'd be even more awesome, but a doc
fix would be cool too.
Thanks for your time.
