Hello, The bug is still alive and severity is important I use SQL-Ledger with an utf-8 Postgres database on Opensuse 42.3 with an oldperl-DBD-Pg 2.19.3-2.1.3 instead of the normal 3.5.3 With newer versions there is the problem : http://www.sql-ledger.com/userforum/index.php?id=1117 I have tried on the latest opensuse Leap 15.0 with perl-DBD-Pg 3.5.3 the problem is still there and it is not possible to use the old 2.19.3 version -- Salutations Philippe JAOUEN Ferme du Ponctey : http://www.ponctey.fr cidre fermier du Pays de La Risle, Pommeau de Normandie et Calvados AOC

The main cause of this problem is SQL-Ledger working with binary instead of Perl characters. It's still possible to use my modified version from Github (https://github.com/Tekki/sql-ledger).
