Subject: | perl5.test-smoke.org not certified for HTTPS |
In response to a request from abeltje on #smoke, I have been testing Test-Smoke-1.72_06.tar.gz. As part of that testing, I diffed between 1.72 (last CPAN production release) and 1.72_06 as tagged in the github repository. Within that diff I see:
#####
$ git diff -w Test-Smoke-1.72..Test-Smoke-1.72_06 | grep -B1 -i https
- dft => 'http://perl5.test-smoke.org/report',
+ dft => 'https://perl5.test-smoke.org/report',
--
- default => 'http://perl5.test-smoke.org/report',
+ default => 'https://perl5.test-smoke.org/report',
#####
... which I interpret to mean that perl5.test-smoke.org is now https-compliant.
I have now completed one smoke-test run using 1.72_06. Examining smokecurrent.log, I see that the report has been sent to:
#####
https://perl5.test-smoke.org/report/74020
#####
However, when I enter that URL in my browser (Firefox), I get this message:
#####
Your connection is not secure
The owner of perl5.test-smoke.org has configured their website improperly. To protect your information from being stolen, Firefox has not connected to this website.
#####
From that I infer that the site is not yet https-certified. When can we expect that to happen?
(Note that deleting the 's' from https does show the report.)
Thank you very much.
