Depending on your needs, you may be able to use it with no extra libraries installed, but that's unlikely. The installation document: https://metacpan.org/pod/distribution/Imager/lib/Imager/Install.pod#EXTERNAL-LIBRARIES lists which external libraries are needed for which features. Tony

cool. thank you. this is the section I was looking for. would be nice to point user to this section from other documents. For example where is meet 'assuming you have the [appropriate libraries](https://metacpan.org/pod/distribution/Imager/lib/Imager/Install.pod#EXTERNAL-LIBRARIES)

Done in e9304dfd2d5889fa59fa5af2dabe3a3f6c96fdba which was included in the 1.008 release. Tony
