Thanks for the report! I've commited some changes at https://github.com/heikojansen/chi-driver-mongodb/ and I plan to release the current state as v0.0100 to CPAN in the next few days. If you want to spend a few minutes on testing the modified code you can use the distribution archive I've attached to this message.
