Subject: Pod-Xhtml generates non-valid HTML
Pod-Xhtml generates HTML that does not validate. Namely the problems are: 1. A completely broken index. 2. Empty <a ></a> elements. 3. Unquoted HTML meta-characters within markup commands (B<...>,I<...>) The attached patch fixes all these problems.

Shlomi, Thank you for reporting these issues and for your patch. Pod::Xhtml 1.40 has been uploaded to CPAN. Full details of changes since the last public release (1.35) are in the change log included in the distribution. Many thanks, Simon Flack
