https://metacpan.org/pod/Scalar::Util#looks_like_number The page above contains a link to "looks_like_number" in perlapi. When I click on that link though, I don't find that anchor in that page. So where should I look? - Alex

Ahyes, that link points at https://metacpan.org/pod/perlapi#looks_like_number which doesn't quite look right. I suspect because metacpan doesn't render the `perlapi` page properly, because it's supposed to be dynamically generated. https://perldoc.perl.org/perlapi.html#looks_like_number might be a better link, except the way the page is constructed means you'll have to scroll upwards a bit because the anchor position is otherwise obscured by the floating menu at the top of the page. https://perldoc.pl/perlapi#looks_like_number is another option. I'll see if one of these might be better to put in the docs. -- Paul Evans
