Subject: Archive-Tar 2.28 failing tests on Win32 regardless of perl version
As tallied here: http://matrix.cpantesters.org/?dist=Archive-Tar;os=mswin32;reports=1 As Archive::Tar ships with the Perl 5 core distribution, this is an impediment to the release of perl-5.28.0. I don't have any Windows machine, so I can't diagnose further. Thank you very much. Jim Keenan

The test that is failing on MSWin32 is where a file with a trailing space character is extracted. The test checks that the space is not stripped from the filename. Windows creates the file with trailing space in the name, but will report that the filename without a trailing space exists. Have skipped this one test on MSWin32 and shipped 2.30 to CPAN

Thanks for the rapid response. Looks much better on Win32: http://matrix.cpantesters.org/?dist=Archive-Tar;os=mswin32;reports=1
This can be resolved.
