This queue is for tickets about the Search-Xapian CPAN distribution.

Maintainer(s)' notes

Important note

Do NOT report bugs here - if you do, your report won't be read by anybody. We've asked for this tracker to simply be disabled, but apparently that's not possible at present. So if you have a package on CPAN, you get a RT tracker whether you like it or not.

Instead, report bugs in the Xapian bug tracker.

Subject: Unable to submit bug reports
It seems to be impossible to submit bug reports using the official channel. I think it would be better to allow people to still use RT for submitting reports.

"It seems to be impossible" is not a useful problem report - we get bugs reported via trac.xapian.org so it's clearly possible. If you're having problems registering for an account, please give details. Show quoted text

Sorry, but I'm just not interested in being forced to use RT (and despite several requests, the rt.cpan.org maintainers seem unwilling to actually disable it for a specific package, so we're left in the stupid situation where people can ignore the warning message and report bugs here which nobody will see).

The only official way to report problems with the registration is via irc, but I am not using irc. Unfortunately I cannot remember what happen 1½ years ago --- probably the confirmation mail never came, at least I don't see anything matching "xapian" or "trac" in my mailbox. Show quoted text

At least the RT queue is good for situations like this, as a fallback issue tracker.
