Hi, I used the following command: /home/apps/perl_org/perl-5_12_5/bin/cpanm Marpa::R2 The error message was: --- Writing version files Building Marpa-R2 Running [/bin/sh configure --with-pic --disable-shared --disable-maintainer-mode]... configure: error: cannot find sources (marpa_ami.h) in /home/apps/git/2.11.0/bin or .. Failed: configure Current directory: /home/cadadmin/.cpanm/work/1514408230.27823/Marpa-R2-4.000000/libmarpa_build Cannot run libmarpa configure at inc/Marpa/R2/Build_Me.pm line 663. -> FAIL Installing Marpa::R2 failed. See /home/cadadmin/.cpanm/work/1514408230.27823/build.log for details. My first guess is that your setup have a configuration issue. Marpa::R2 4.000000 at this point has been built successfully a lot, including specifically with Perl 5.12.5: http://www.cpantesters.org/distro/M/Marpa-R2.html?oncpan=1&distmat=1&version=2.051_007&grade=3 It is possible that you're bringing out an installation bug, but it would have to be one so tricky that most other installs miss it. If I were looking at this, my first try would be to followup on this line in your message, and look at that file: Show quoted text

Also, this bug is misfiled. It reports an issue with Marpa::R2, but is in the Marpa::XS queue. It will be very confusing for the record if R2 discussion winds up in the wrong place. For that reason, I'm going to close this ticket. Please feel free to follow up about the issue on the mailing list or the IRC channel. If you really want there to be an RT issue filed, please refile it under Marpa::R2
