Makefile.PL does not compile
In version 0.92, Makefile.PL begins like this:
\use ExtUtils::MakeMaker;
That backslash causes a syntax error.

Hmmm. On MetaCPAN I see that's the case, but in my home git repo that file is clean. This ancient code is due for an overhaul, so I think I'll make a minimal change to fix this issue and then more changes Real Soon Now.
