Would like to see an option added to exorcise_filename so it takes a parameter to determine whether to do its default action - create an exorcsied filename - or to exorcise it by removing the evil characters only.
I'm overriding this in my own situation with;
*{MIME::Parser::Filer::exorcise_filename} = sub {
my $em = shift;
my $fn = shift;
$fn =~ s/[^-A-Za-z0-9_+=.,@\#\$ ]*//g;
return $fn;
};
