I'm a bit wary of a CMake 3 dependency, because libvas can run on less mainstream systems such as illumos that don't have a CMake >=3 in their package repositories. I don't know how good the cpan experience on illumos is but I rather keep Alien::CMake for now. Thanks for bringing this to my attention though.
