Hi, Somewhere between 1.16 and 1.20 (not sure where, and Changes file is apparently sorely lacking) the build routines changed and the module is wrongly installed one level too deep. On my system (official Debian packaging), using 1.16: /usr/share/perl5/File/Data.pm On my system, using 1.20: /usr/share/perl5/File/File/Data.pm My guess is that it the variable ${INST_LIBDIR} is used wrongly in Makefile.PL. Attached patch, simply dropping custom handling of install path, worked for me and is now applied for the Debian redistribution of this module. - Jonas -- * Jonas Smedegaard - idealist & Internet-arkitekt * Tlf.: +45 40843136 Website: http://dr.jones.dk/ [x] quote me freely [ ] ask before reusing [ ] keep private
