Subject: PAR::Packer installation bug?
Date: Fri, 8 Sep 2017 20:27:57 -0400
To: bug-par-packer [...] rt.cpan.org
From: Colin Wu <colin [...] colinwu.ca>
Hi, I am trying to install pp on Win 10, ActiveState Perl (5.24.1) but I'm getting an error while installing PAR-Packer and it says to report it to "the author". The error is that a number of files seem to be missing from the kit (downloaded from cpan): inc/Module/Install.pm inc/Module/Install/Base.pm inc/Module/Install/Can.pm inc/Module/Install/Fetch.pm inc/Module/Install/Makefile.pm inc/Module/Install/Metadata.pm inc/Module/Install/Win32.pm inc/Module/Install/WriteAll.pm *Colin Wu* *"Life would be so much easier if I had the source code."*

This warning is harmless (caused by an outdated MANIFEST) and can safely be ignored. Will be fixed in the next release. Cheers, Roderich

Ok, but then the MAKE fails with two errors, one of which is 255.   Original Message   From: bug-PAR-Packer@rt.cpan.org Sent: September 9, 2017 07:39 To: colin@colinwu.ca Reply-to: bug-PAR-Packer@rt.cpan.org Subject: [rt.cpan.org #122995] PAR::Packer installation bug? <URL: https://rt.cpan.org/Ticket/Display.html?id=122995 > On 2017-09-08 20:28:29, colin@colinwu.ca wrote: Show quoted text

No information to work with. Unpack the tarball into a fresh directory and post the unabridged output of perl Makefile.PL make Cheers, Roderich
