We have the following bug reported to the Debian package of
Image-Sane (https://bugs.debian.org/868372):
It doesn't seem to be a bug in the packaging, so you may want to take
a look. Thanks!
Short summary: sane's scanimage changed its output in 1.0.26 or 1.0.27, so
examples/scanimage-perl's output doesn't match anymore and
t/81_scanimage-perl.t bails out.
