The quickest way to report a bug in Yahoomail is by sending email to bug-Yahoomail [at] rt.cpan.org.
- Distribution name and version (For example, "DBIx-SearchBuilder-0.46")
- Perl version (Find this by running the command perl -v)
- Operating System vendor and version (Find this by running the command uname -a)
Other things that are often helpful:
- Details about your operating environment that might be related to the issue being described
- Exact cut and pasted error or warning messages
- The shortest, clearest code you can manage to write which reproduces the bug described.
- A patch against the latest released version of this distribution which fixes this bug.

BUG:Reply, Reply All, and Forward replaces original mail content with content from an unrelated email message
Hi.This has been going on for months now, and is VERY frustrating, as it hinders progress:I open an email in Yahoo Mail in a browser on my laptop. (I use no other devices for email but laptop.)I hit REPLY. Instead of the contents of that mail, the contents of a completely unrelated email message appears!Sometimes, the REPLY page is empty (no, it is not collapsed into a fold): the entire mail changes to a blank "New Email". I can see a snippet of the original mail in my INBOX or search results view, and it's all there when I open the mail, but once I hit REPLY, REPLY ALL or FORWARD, that's when the original content is either totally changed or gone.
No workarounds work. I hit the BACK button and try again. I hit REPLY ALL or FORWARD. I reload the page. I quit Yahoo & relaunch it, or I quit the browser and relaunch it. The same problem occurs. Nothing helps! I try to replace the unwanted "invasion" content or blank page with a copy & paste of all of the old content. I am unable to SEND. I can't wait and even send it later. Yahoo is unable to SAVE AS DRAFT (an error msg pops up saying that, then the content returns to thew unwanted text or a blank page.).
This happens intermittently, but it happens often enough to be a big work hindrance!! It has been going on now for at least a month!
I need the previous content, in order for us to have a historic record of the email thread, along with timestamps and all cc'd recipients. FYI, I am the only person on this network. I have no other apps open when this bug appears and stops all progress.
*** See attached screen shots.

Why do you need uname & perl? I'm reporting a bug, not submitting the code fix to the bug.
BTW, why did you remove the subject line of prior email messages?! The subject is important, especially when the content is a one-word or other short reply to a question that is asked in the subject line of that email note. Without the subject, it is hard to follow the thread and remember (or prove) what question elicited the "Yes" or "No" one-word reply from responders in a hurry. Please reinstate the SUBJECT line of replies & "fwds," along with TO, FROM, CC, DATE & TIME.
Please fix this bug ASAP! Thx! I'm surprised nobody else has reported this. (Maybe I'm not doing a proper search for this bug?) THANKS!
Jean
