Yes, it's useful to add more information per transaction for time tracking. I think it would be difficult to add to this extension without the configuration getting too complicated. However, it could be added as a customization for your RT using a transaction custom field. If you have technical resources, you could do this yourself. You could also contact Best Practical (the makers of RT) to see what it would take to create a custom extension for you.
