There is a maximum file length and path length for Windows 9x machines. Should be checked for.

Hmm.. Do you have more information on this? AFAIK, Windows 9x had VFAT then FAT32 support which allowed quite creative file names. -- Close the world, txEn eht nepO.

Not with the module API. When those tickets were openend, I begun to refactor Test::Portability::Files in order to make it more pluggable, but then lacked tuits (or used them on other things).
