Downloaded http://search.cpan.org/CPAN/authors/id/T/TI/TIMB/DBI-1.48.tar.gz (No problems with download) Here's what happens when I try to unpack it: barnie:~/downloads> gunzip DBI-1.48.tar.gz gunzip: DBI-1.48.tar.gz: not in gzip format This is on a linux redhat FC3 distribution. The version of gunzip I'm running is as follows: barnie:~/downloads> gunzip --version gunzip 1.3.3 (2002-03-08)

It' fine. Either your browser unzipped it for you but left the .gz suffix on the name (a common fault) or the CPAN mirror you fetched it from was corrupt. Thanks for the report.
