Hi, My name is Ethan and I'm using my mothers iPad to send this since it is the fastest way, so any replies, please say it is for your son Ethan so she can forward it to me. I am not a programmer, but I believe I found a sort of bug in pro_fmt (placed it in /usr/bin) that has to do with when it references Perl. I did work around it to get it to work on my mothers jailbroken iPad 1 on iOS 5.1.1 The potential bug is that when pro_fmt calls perl to do its job, it does so by looking for perl in /usr/bin which worked fine when I had a version of Perl 5.14.4 installed from the source com.hackyouriphone.perl, but that version of perl had an invalid signature which was indicated by a killed: 9 error in MTerminal when running pro_fmt. My point is that when I installed a working signed version 5.10.0-15 of perl from com.sull.perl source, pro_fmt could not find perl because it was looking for perl in /usr/bin where with this lower version of perl, it was located in /usr/local/bin in which the local folder is just a link to /var/stash/local So all I did to get pro_fmt to find perl is to copy and paste just the perl file from that location to /usr/bin I think this is a bug because I would think that perl could just be called from pro_fmt with just perl rather than /usr/bin/perl since it is listed as a command in MTerminal. Or maybe you can have pro_fmt look in both locations for perl if it needs to be programmed with a full path. In case you are curious; to finish getting pro_fmt to work on iOS, the location to put the AppleII folder with the 2 dependency files Disk.pm & ProDOS.pm was /usr/local/lib/perl5/5.10.0 or the direct location being /var/stash/local/lib/perl5/5.10.0 Also if I type a name for the floppy disk image it is creating, shouldn't it automatically append the name with the proper file extension? I just typed in .dsk as the extension. But is there another option as an extension? Please respond to this if possible. Thanks so much for your software! Sent from my iPad
