The API should allow to move a set of several messages to the trush at once. (or any other manipulation of several messages). It is possible to do this because the Gmail Interface allows one to do that.
I wanted to delete messages from a label with over 3000 messages. The process of deleting them one at a time was very slow, and eventually, my account was temporarily suspended.
