Please use double-colon on the rule for $(FIRST_MAKEFILE). Or at least make it some kind of option. The place this is written is line 2741 of ExtUtils/MM_Unix.pm. Specifying rules with double-colon makes the system more flexible and allows us to do automatic fixes to the generated Makefile (e.g. combining it with other makefiles).
