Subject: Update script not working
$ maint_ip_world_db Source file http://geolite.maxmind.com/download/geoip/database/GeoIPCountryCSV.zip could not be found: Forbidden at /Users/david/perl5/perlbrew/perls/perl-5.24.0/bin/maint_ip_world_db line 76. Using plain old 'lwp-request -m HEAD' also results in 403 Forbidden, but it downloads just fine in a desktop browser on the same machine, so I suppose maxmind are deliberately breaking automagic downloads, possibly in an attempt to force people to switch over to geolite2.

Should I do something to the IP::World package to work around this problem? I am years out of active development, perhaps someone would like to take over this package and do updates like this? Craig MacKenna 408-402-1979 Show quoted text

I'd be happy to take over maintenance if you like. Just let me know and I'll get stuff sorted out. FWIW I don't see any need to change anything at all apart from fix this one issue - apart from that it works perfectly as far as I can see.

I would be delighted to turn over maintenance of IP::World to you. Please advise how we do that. Thanks, Craig MacKenna Show quoted text

I'll get the PAUSE admins to do it. I expect that once I show them this conversation there's nowt you'll need to do.

Nowt? noun, plural nowt. Scot. and North England. 1. an ox. 2. a herd of cattle. Sorry, I don’t do cattle. :-) Craig Show quoted text

You are correct. dictionary.com had a second definition that I didn’t scroll down to see: noun, British Dialect. 1. naught; nothing. Show quoted text

This will be fixed in the next release, see: https://github.com/DrHyde/perl-modules-IP-World/commit/2fcf4c4
