My smoker systems started to report test failures for Acme-Nyaa:
Malformed UTF-8 character (fatal) at lib/Acme/Nyaa/Ja.pm line 94.

Dubious, test returned 22 (wstat 5632, 0x1600)
All 603 subtests passed
It seems that this happens with newer versions of Encode (>= 2.86), though the evidence is not 100%. Statistical analysis of test reports generated on my smokers (negative theta is "bad"):
