glad to see latest Gimp module for perl Im having a huge problem installing this required modules... such as Alien::Gimp look for gimp-2 which then requires Alien::Gimp so it loops and the install never completes/ maybe a preferred method of installing all the packages ? I am using cpanm but this gives me the problem stated

In contrast to bug #116905, my attempt with command "cpanm Gimp" worked on Oct. 10th, 2017 up to (and including) "Extutils - MakeMaker", then: "Installing the dependencies failed: Module 'Alien::Gimp' is not installed, Module 'Gtk2' is not installed. Bailing out the installation for Gimp-2.32." Next attempt with command "cpanm Alien::Gimp" fetches the tarball, then: Configuring Alien-Gimp-007...N/A Configure failed for Alien-Gimp-007 My OS is Windows 7 with all patches. "perl -v" says "This is perl 5, version 20, subversion 2 (v5.20.2) built for MSWin32-x86-multi-thread-64int". Kind regards Klaus
Hi Klaus and Stu, Sorry for a delay in replying to this. On Windows, there is a problem with building Gimp-Perl because to do so requires the GIMP headers, and the standard Windows distro for GIMP does not include those. My plan for dealing with this now will be to make Gimp-Perl interface with GIMP using the NativeCall module rather than the XS that it currently uses. If you would like to beat me to it and make a patch and post it on here, that would be very welcome! Ed
