There are currently over 600 dists on CPAN where the version in the tarball's filename doesn't match the version in the dist metadata. Usually it's because the metadata is out-of-date. Sometimes though, whoah! :-)
This came out of discussion with Mickey Nasriachi, who pointed out the issue to me.
