Anyway, the problem seems to have worked itself out. Not sure if
it was from upgrading IE, Perl, or a Perl module, but `make test`
passes now. Very happy about that, in a way that only a few weeks
of struggling to understand how to test a web application can explain.
For reference, my info is:
