Subject: Option --description does not work
Linux brwms 2.4.18-27.7.x #1 Fri Mar 14 06:44:53 EST 2003 i686 unknown This is perl, v5.6.1 built for i386-linux I cannot get the --description="..." option to work. Or more precisely, I cannot get it to override the POD data extracted and used for the description. The default (which is not 'None' as indicated in the cpan2rpm pod/man) description is usually the entire 'DESCRIPTION' from the module (.pm ). It's a bit much information. I usually work around the problem by modifying the generated .spec file. This is not a critical, earth shaking error, but it would be nice if the --description worked. Whether the description option works or not: the 'cpan2rpm' is a MUST-HAVE utility! No administrator of an RPM based system should be without it! Thanks, Bill R. Williams
