Subject: perlbrew: Unescaped left brace in regex is deprecated
We have the following bug reported to the Debian package of App-perlbrew (https://bugs.debian.org/826500): It doesn't seem to be a bug in the packaging, so you may want to take a look. Thanks! ------8<-----------8<-----------8<-----------8<-----------8<----- Package: perlbrew Version: 0.75-1 Severity: minor User: debian-perl@lists.debian.org Usertags: perl-5.24-transition Building this package triggers deprecation warnings with Perl 5.24 (currently in experimental), and probably with Perl 5.22 (current sid) too. Unescaped left brace in regex is deprecated, passed through in regex; marked by <-- HERE in m/ \$fatpacked{ <-- HERE "App/perlbrew.pm"} / at t/http.t line 37. A full build log is available at http://perl.debian.net/rebuild-logs/perl-5.24-throwaway/perlbrew_0.75-1/ -- Niko Tyni ntyni@debian.org ------8<-----------8<-----------8<-----------8<-----------8<----- Thanks for considering, gregor herrmann, Debian Perl Group
Hey thanks for letting us know. This issue was already resolved in the git repo. https://github.com/gugod/App-perlbrew/commit/a38770d8abb9961ecb9013ab3f22392fdc56b6cf I'm marking this ticket as resolved for now.

I wonder if the correct status of this ticket should be "patched" until a CPAN release is done, so it's still visible on the "Active bugs" page --- after all this is already the second ticket for this issue, and I fear more will follow...
