Good Day, I am currently using Archive::Tar wil ActiveState PERL 5.18 64bit on Windows 7 SP1 x64.Is there a size limitation with regards to the file being extracted? It seems that I am encountering the error "Could not write data to" errors when the file that needs to be extracted is over 2GB in size. Thanks, gary

It appears that the issue is with the syswrite in the _extract_file routine. If the data being written is over 2GB in size it fails. Would it be feasible to split the datawhen it is above a ? And that size maybe should be adjustable as well. thanks, gary On Monday, May 23, 2016 7:19 AM, Bugs in Archive-Tar via RT <bug-Archive-Tar@rt.cpan.org> wrote: Greetings, This message has been automatically generated in response to the creation of a trouble ticket regarding:     "Archive::Tar 2.04", a summary of which appears below.
