Subject: Last record separator seen feature

Hi, This module is great and I can think of a new feature that would make it even better (in my eyes). Could you possibly implement a function that returns the last record separator seen by PerlIO::eol when reading a file, i.e 'CR', 'LF', or 'CRLF'? Cheers, Florent

Hi Florent! This seems like a useful feature. However, I became a COMAINT of this module only a few weeks ago and am trying to understand it and the PerlIO layer which seems to be under-documented. I'll keep this bug open as a wishlist and in the meanwhile pull-reqs to https://github.com/shlomif/PerlIO-eol are welcome. I already started converting it to Dist-Zilla.

Thanks for the reply, Shlomi. I did have a look under the hood to see if I could make a quick patch, but it all looks so foreign to me. Best, Florent On 26 April 2016 at 15:33, Shlomi Fish via RT <bug-PerlIO-eol@rt.cpan.org> wrote: Show quoted text
