Subject: The version control repository is not mentioned anywhere in the CPAN Distribution
Hi! Thanks for IO-Async. I cannot find the version control repository link anywhere in the: 1. IO::Async perlpod. 2. META.yml. 3. README 4. https://metacpan.org/release/IO-Async - this page. I wanted to check it so I can see if a patch I sent was already applied. Please provide links from the appropriate places. -- Shlomi

This is intentional. Development discussions should take place first on #io-async on irc.perl.net or via other channels such as #perl / PM'ing me on Freenode, or email, or RTs to this very ticket queue. That way I can coördinate development efforts and ensure things progress in the correct direction, before people put work into creating something I might not accept. -- Paul Evans

Hi Paul! While I think it is a bad policy, see https://www.joelonsoftware.com/2007/02/19/seven-steps-to-remarkable-customer-service/ because people like me expect it to be there. -- ----------------------------------------------------------------- Shlomi Fish http://www.shlomifish.org/ Summer Glau Facts - http://shlom.in/sglau-facts Knuth is not God! So policy aside, did you have anything specific you wanted to work on, that we could discuss? -- Paul Evans

It's been so long ago that I don't remember. I think I wanted to see if some of my changes were there. -- ----------------------------------------------------------------- Shlomi Fish http://www.shlomifish.org/ List of Portability Libraries - http://shlom.in/port-libs God signs people into the book of life using a pen that Chuck Norris gave him. — http://www.shlomifish.org/humour/bits/facts/Chuck-Norris/ Please reply to list if it's a mailing list post - http://shlom.in/reply .
