Subject: Use a more familiar http host to get CPAN?
I assume you connect to kapranoff.ru:80 to get 'cpanm' over http instead of https, because connecting https will require more prerequisites. How about connecting to more familiar (and perceived to be more trusted) hosts like: http://cpansearch.perl.org/src/MIYAGAWA/App-cpanminus-1.7040/bin/cpanm I believe there are still other sites offering http.
