Subject: Apache2 Release + New Functionality
I have AuthDBI working in Apache2 after modifications. I've also added some new functionality including a "ChopBlanks" directive to take care of space padding issues on plaintext passwords and "SessionActiveReset" directive that makes the expiration date work as a keep alive timer (every valid page access bumps the users expiration time forward). I know you've done some work for Apache2 compatability already. Would you like a copy of my updates so you can add the new features + perldoc documentation updates to your current module? Do you have a planned release date for the new version? If not, would you mind if I posted a new CPAN module based on AuthCookieDBI that incorporates my added features so that others can benefit from the updates? I've become the new mainatainer of AuthCookieDBI, but there are some hitches in getting this working in CPAN. I have uploaded a mod_perl 2/apache2 version (2.01) but I am not sure if CPAN is indexing it yet, so I have attached it to this posting.
