Hi, Would it possible if you could try the current development release 7.11_04 [http://www.cpan.org/authors/id/B/BI/BINGOS/ExtUtils-MakeMaker-7.11_04.tar.gz], just the results of 'make test' would be great, there is no need to install it. The output of '/usr/local/bin/perl -V' and '/usr/local/bin/perl -V:make' would also be much appreciated. Many thanks in advance.

I will give that a try. The situation improved somewhat when I made a symbolic link to 'make' with the name gmake. Is there a dependency on gnu make? Show quoted text

I found a copy of gnu make 4.1 and installed that. Attached is the output of "typescript" command when I unpacked and attempted to build ExtUtils-MakeMaker-7.11_04.tar.gz Search for ^newback to find the commands I typed in. It appeared to pass a lot of the tests but still says "FAIL" at the end. Chris Show quoted text

Hi Howard, Thanks for trying this. Please could you try either the latest released EUMM, or the latest dev-release? (They are at this point quite similar)
