"If pass_through is also enabled, options processing will terminate at the first unrecognized option, or non-option, whichever comes first." The actual option is passthrough with no underscore. Thank you.

The actual name is 'pass_through', as consistently used in the documentation. However, 'passthrough' is also accepted as an alternative.

Before reporting bugs, one should always examine the version of the software one is using. My Getopt::long is 2.38, in the core of 5.16.3. My apologies. Withdrawn.
