Hi guys,
The following line:
Joseýs
is not being unaccented.
It’s hex code 92 according to hexdump.
According to the unicode standard, \x92 is “Private Use Two” - which makes it quite bizarre that it’s showing up as a ý.
According to the unicode tables, ý is \xFD.
I’m currently just going to override this specific character in my script, as I suspect the fact that it’s coming up as a ý may be OS or locale specific maybe?
Thanks
