Subject: tarball has extended headers causing warnings
The tarball for this dist includes extended headers that cause gnu tar to report numerous warnings. This doesn't cause any errors or impact the files that are extracted, but it can cause a lot of noise in install logs. This is most likely due to packaging the dist on OS X, with an old version of ExtUtils::MakeMaker. Newer versions of EUMM prevent the extra headers from being added. Just repackaging the dist with a modern EUMM should resolve the issue.
Also, on OS-X, if you have Homebrew installed, you can brew install gnu-tar. Making gnu-tar appear first in your PATH so it gets used fixes the issue.

The minimum version of EUMM that has a workaround for this issue is 6.43_01. I recommend to upgrade to the latest EUMM version on the OS X machine and re-release the dist.
