Subject: Module does not currently work on 5.20.0+ (due to CoW strings)
This module is currently known to have problems on all perls since 5.20. While I have a prototype of a solution, I have no plans to resume working on it before mid-January 2016. Given the (currently) nonexistent reliance on this module within dependency chains, a patch-up/clarification release is not planned until then. Sorry for the false-alarm smoke report!
