Hello, I reported this to the Strawberry queue, but they say it's an Archive::Tar problem ... Original conversation follows: <URL: https://rt.cpan.org/Ticket/Display.html?id=107463 > On Fri Oct 02 09:03:58 2015, EHeck@intarsys.de wrote: Show quoted text

I worked around it by doing "substr($file->prefix, > 1)" but am not sure if the backslash should be there in the first > place. > > Regards, Elfi
Since Strawberry Perl is a collection of a perl interpreter, perl modules, a compiler, and libraries, we sometimes get bugs that properly should be reported to the maintainers of the modules. This is one of those. Archive::Tar has its own queue here at rt.cpan.org that should have been used instead.
