Subject: Problem with ptardiff (or Archive::Tar)
Date: Fri, 2 Oct 2015 13:03:41 +0000
To: "bug-Perl-Dist-Strawberry [...] rt.cpan.org" <bug-Perl-Dist-Strawberry [...] rt.cpan.org>

Hello, just wanted to report that ptardiff.bat doesn't work for me on 64 bit Windows. "$file->prefix" on line 39 returns the file path with a starting backslash and that will make the actual diff fail, because it will search for the files in the root of the current drive instead of the current directory. I worked around it by doing "substr($file->prefix, 1)" but am not sure if the backslash should be there in the first place. Regards, Elfi

Since Strawberry Perl is a collection of a perl interpreter, perl modules, a compiler, and libraries, we sometimes get bugs that properly should be reported to the maintainers of the modules. This is one of those. Archive::Tar has its own queue here at rt.cpan.org that should have been used instead.
