Subject: New lines in die statements
Please remove the newlines in the die statements, either I have to chomp and take them out, or my messages have newlines in the middle of them.

Let me think about this. The point of the newlines is to stop Perl otherwise automatically adding path-to-*.pm and line # to the messages. Yes, that could be called security-thru-obscurity, but at least I do have a rationale forthe decision to add newlines. -- Ron Savage - savage.net.au

What's the rationale? It's generally useful for the user to know at what point a program died.

Good question. I should have said: The place I read that advice was talking about CGI scripts, and not wanting to broadcast info about the server setup. -- Ron Savage - savage.net.au
Hi Nigel I've removed the \n from all die messages, and V 1.15 is now on CPAN.
